- Education

- Dr. J graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1988 from Ashland College (in Ohio), with a double major; a Bachelor of Science in both Chemistry and Biology. In 1992 she earned her Doctor of Medicine graduate degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She then completed four years of surgical residency with the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati, plus one year as Chief Resident there.

- Work History

- Dr. J spent two years practicing in Cincinnati, and has spent the past seven years with a very successful practice here in Missoula. She currently serves as Medical Director of Trauma for Community Medical Center, a program she initiated and has since lead to it's establishment as a verified Level Three Trauma Facility.

Dr. J has performed thousands of surgical procedures involving breast cancer, hernia repairs, colorectal and intestinal aliments, gall bladder and appendix removals, and a variety of others. She is currently the only physician in the Missoula area with both a Mammotome machine (for in-office minimally-invasive breast biopsies) and an in-office Ultrasound machine for breast exams. She is also the only surgeon in the area who currently performs all types of Laparoscopic hernia repairs. A Laparoscopic procedure involves using a miniature internal camera and tiny incisions for a less-invasive process and faster recovery.
